Haha, I knew you wouldn't be retired from beeper engine creation for long mate
Sounds interesting, I'll check it out later, when home from work

Anyone up for entering a ZX Beeper tune ?
Sounds awesome! I've backed the next too, hope they leave the sid in (think it was just a test).
How do you think 1-bit engines like zbmod will sound on it?
Will port contention still be there if selecting 48k mode ?
Hi guys
I think this is a great idea. As you know, I've always liked to try and include voice-like sounds in my Beeper tunes,
1-Bit Mechanistic, Mechanoid etc.
An engine I'd love to hear is a rombeep one that converts voice sounds right down to basic beeps. Almost like the effect used sometimes on synthpop music where a vocoder effect is turned up to the max.
I've thought of trying to analyse the waveform of some allophones and manually work out a 'beep-set' myself which could be used in a Beeper tune.
I tried it on my cover of 'Difficult for Weirdos' right at the end.
Another Beeper engine idea is QChan+
A hybrid engine with an AY bass channel (buzztone etc.)
I thought maybe one of the channels could be played as standard QChan but also the same notes as AY bass?
That way the song data could be used and exported from Beepola and incorporated into the Qchan+ engine .asm ?
What do you think utz????
These drums are something pretty new too, sampled?
Can two SID voices be used at once??
The more I listen, the more impressive this engine becomes!
Particularly the start of the demo tune.
Wow, another amazing engine and original sound
Love the volume control (particularly at the beginning of the demo tune).
Is the low buzz bass at the beginning coupled with volume controlled lead really all beeper or is this a hybrid engine??
Brilliant
Happy New Year fellow 1-bit music fans.
Let's make 2017 a good one for 1-bit
I was thinking exactly the same thing Garvalf !
Roll on Winterchip, time for some fresh sounding Beeper tunes
Hi Guys
Here are some new ZX Beeper tunes from our friends over at Battle Of The Bits

he he, that sounds very intriguing Garvalf! Can't wait ????
Hi Guys
I've not posted for a while but just wondered what projects people were working on the moment?
I'm still working on my latest 1-bit album but it can be hard to motivate myself at the moment. Space Beeps will be about 15mins long!
There will hopefully be about 13-15 tracks and I'm trying to use a selection of engines this time to vary the sound and not just Qchan as before
1-bit Mechanistic got a good review here:
lofi-gaming.org.uk
...and I even managed to persuade industry legend Mel Croucher to take a listen
So what are you guys up to?
AER has released a new Beeper album
Download it here:

Great stuff as always, in his own distinctive style
Cheers mate
Very nice synthy sound to this one
I thought all three tracks were great.
Couldn't guess which engine utz's track used and I actually thought 'Road Song' used the Savage engine when I first heard it. Certainly sounds cleaner than other tritone engined tunes!
I look forward to listening to your Squeeker Plus tune and the other two.
Only 3 entries? I must admit, I didn't have time to write anything myself. Oh well.
I actually have a Russian guy sitting next to me at work which is great as I often ask him to translate text from forums etc.
Hi Guys
I've had some CDs made of my 1-bit Mechanistic album
If anyone would like to add this unique little 1-bit oddity to their chiptune collection, they're now available to buy on my bandcamp page. I've tried to keep the postage costs down.
Once again, HUGE thanks to utz, who's coded the ZX Spectrum demo version. Available on the bandcamp download or here:

Hope you like it
Just listened on soundcloud, excellent!
Another remarkable engine ever expanding the unique sound of 1-bit beeper!
Txt convertor idea sounds cool too.
Hi abrimaal
welcome back to the forum
Love your hybrid and multi-engine / digital stuff. Also, great idea to use Beepola for the editor.
utz - wow, the buzzer effect sounds amazing over the Beeper
Very impressive as always
Great sound.
Hehe, well this is something new !
Very cool
I remember when I used to do sample based Quartet music on the ST back in the 90s I used to export instruments from existing .mod files, usually Amiga ones that had been ported over.
Still have quite a few .mods so I'll probably look through those and test some of the instruments to see which sound OK in the engine.
I view the forum on a mobile most of the time and agree with Garvalf.
The forum is useable but the phone has to be in landscape to see some fields.
That's great news.
I just thought a few included samples (bass/lead/drums) that work particularly well with the engine might speed up the creation of some new tunes?
I'll give it a test later
