Wow thanks Shiru
Qchan with sampled drums would be amazing. Always lift a track for me. Buzzkik is given another level because of them

Thanks mate
Cheers utz
Hehe, yeah the speech sample is actually half way through loading and loaded over by the main game
Cheers Garvalf.
I’ve always loved Qchan, even it’s odd unexpected squeaks and overtones add interest. Decided I needed more variation from phaser 3 on my new album
I’m really feeling the love for Qchan again
A little intro tune I wrote for a new game called Retro Robbins MicroBlitz
I only had around 900 bytes so was limited to which engine I could use.
I thought I'd try buzzkik which is a great engine, I'll definitely use it again.
New Beeper tune I was working on tonight
Unfinished but I thought it was worth uploading as I've not uploaded anything for a while.
Old faithful Qchan engine and Beepola this time.
Still one of my favourite engines as it always reminds me of the classic Tim Follin tunes on the 80s.
Wow, real blast from the past.
Where did 10 years go since I stumbled on the forum and was inspired to make my first beeper tune
Ooh yeah. Anything with samples gets a thumbs up from me
Tbh I never realised the squidgy sounds in your track were samples utz.
Squat seems to play samples really well, in my ‘into the black’ track I didn’t bother to downgrade the quality so the samples were pretty big but the clarity was great
Well done on the win utz. Brilliant track again.
I’ve made some yt vids of some of the tracks on my channel as usual
Managed to finish an old tune too. I'm in
That’s good news Shiru.
Not sure I’ll have anything finished in time
Hi Guys
Came across this channel a few weeks ago.
The guy is churning out a load of converted XM files into Octode 2k16 format
I've always liked this engine and it's great to hear new tracks using it
Ooh, completely forgot about this one
Well that's it UTZ ! Our friendship is over and I shall never speak to you again
Seriously though, I see what you're saying but what actually happened was I used a load of unfinished tracks and strung them into a sort of overture-like track hence the different styles and tempos.
The track plays before the game starts and never again. It also has parts of 'Bela Lugosi's dead' and 'I'm in love with a German film star' to go with the goth theme of the ingame AY music (cure tracks). I also chucked in a bit a 3/4 haunted amusement park type music as that reflects a particular part of the game. There's also some Numan near the beginning, just because I liked it
Game is now finished and can downloaded here:
My latest beeper track for this new game.
Bit of an overture
Game is based on the 1920s b&w horror film 'The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari'
Haha hipster middle aged nostalgia nerds more like
I thought you'd say something about a low-pass
I'm just happy the gadget seems to play our beeper stuff OK now
The fw has now been updated on the new speccy handheld, the ZX Touch. The release notes say it now enables beeper scanning every 4 clock cycles aligning with the execution time of a single z80 instruction. The carrier frequency now exceeding the human audible range on pwm engines again.
Ofcourse I tested a Pytha tune first as I find these the hardest to play correctly (still can’t get Spectronica to play properly on my next with frequency drops in places).
Here’s the ZX Touch in action

Another great new engine. Very cool sound
Really love this engine utz.
I've created a little yt vid of your demo track on my channel:
https://youtu.be/Yd1G_9fHj5E?si=u55jtwybfNOOBbzD
Do you think it will get included into 1tracker/bintracker or a convertor made?
I've had a look at the asm and the song structure doesn't seem too complicated so I could possibly create a simple track in asm.
I've been listening to this album a lot recently and I think a drone synth tune would be perfect on the ulasynth engine

Oh wow !
Utterley amazing. Don't think I've heard another beeper engine sound like this !
Wasn't expecting a new engine at all
Congrats utz
