Two great engines so far Utz
I love the lofi sound and volume control of qaop (btw any chance of including the xm / tap of the demo tune from soundcloud ? Would be great to know how it sounds on a real Speccy and how you wrote it)
Quattropic is really great too, I love the sound, general tone, bass and balanced percussive sounds.
Can't wait for the next five
Aha, mystery solved
Sounds great btw.
what a great show and music! I'd love to have been there...
I agree, great show, I'd love to have been there too. Utz, you looked like you were really enjoying it
Btw, was Iztek being played live from the Speccy or from the laptop? The display on the LCD screen next to the Speccy looked like the Jan Deak tribute album, did you also play Crystal Realm in your set?
Ah yes, how could I forget '1-Bit Music' ?
Fair play to Tristan, he's now got the album on Spotify too!
Was really ZX Beeper music I was interested in though.
Power to the BEEPER!
Very nice !
This convertor is great.
I've made an MP3 of your song Tno2, here it is:
Hi Guys
Does anyone have a link to a download for the ZX Beeper album that John Norton Irr released around 2013?
There used to be a link on the old forum that I used to follow, there was also a really cool album by AER that I used to listen to that was listed below the John Norton Irr one.
I'm trying to collect all the ZX Beeper albums released.
So far I have:
Monophonic Generator - Mister Beep (2009)
The Lowest Fidelity - Mister Beep (2010)
Exile - Voxel (2010)
A Thousand Furious Bees - Mister Beep (2011)
Z80 - Mister Beep (2012)
The Journey Begins - 1-Bit Wizards (2012)
Chromospheric Flares - Mister Beep (2014)
Dat Fuzz - Irrlicht Project (2014)
1-Bit Mechanistic - Tufty (2014)
In Memoriam of Jan Deak - Various (2014)
One Myth - Garvalf (2015)
Can anyone think of any others?
Nice vid, I'd heard Monkey Island before but not a lot of the other tunes.
I think this is a cool PC speaker tune that doesn't seem to get mentioned much, by David Whittaker I think.

Hello,
Btw, talking about beepola, I found this thread with astonishing tunes by FrankT:
http://www.worldofspectrum.org/forums/d … -wip-tunes
Wow !
I see what you mean, some amazing SID-like beeper tunes from FrankT there.
Darklight & Super70s in particular. The AY stuff is amazing too
Wow, this is a great idea
Unfortunately the midi convertor .exe doesn't seem to work on Windows 64bit so I couldn't try it out
Here are some midi files I was going to have a go at converting if anyone else wants to try (I think some of them could sound pretty good, particularly FOFT)
I like the idea of a 1k size limited category too
Hi Shiru
I think it's the first time I've make contact with you, great work with the Qchan engine btw, I use it all the time
I wouldn't have a clue about making a sound engine but it's still very interesting reading the posts
Utz - are you thinking of including volume variation into anteater or one of your other engines?
Hi utz
I was listening to the .tap version of your Dat Fuzz album yesterday and was wondering if you could tell me what software you used to produce the narrow font for the text?
Is it available on the WOS archive?
Cheers
A new header background is a great idea, not sure about expanding into 1-bit art but could be fun
Some great compos there
I may be wrong but I thought you were only allowed 1 cover per format on BOTB?
Is this special battle 1 cover per year in any format?
I hope so, I'll have a go at making another entry
Wahay !
Thanks a lot d0x10 and utz
