Yeah, 2 downvotes already! I'm famous woohooo
Next up: DiHalt Lite 2021! 7th-9th of January, so Jan 6th is the deadline I guess.
I assume BotB Winter Chip will have Beeper as well, so better start stashing up some tunes, hehe.

Two beepers have already arrived. We are waiting for more participants!
The scores are in. Well done utz on the win. Great track. Liked your tracks too Shiru. Good number of entries for beeper.
My congratulations, utz, and Tufty, on stealing my imminent victory once again! Took me some time to figure out who is behind these amazing tracks, it wasn't too obvious this time, even though I did have clues that engines likely were used and your preferences.
Thanks! That was some very strong competition from you guys. Listening again, I think "Repeating Itself" is actually my favourite from this compo. And yup, I was likewise a bit puzzled by "who the hell is trying to beat me at Squat", but the "author's comment" was a give-away. Now who's hellraver, though?
hellraver is Alexey Krivtsov of ZX BITLES group, they're actually have a website that was name of one of the entires: http://zxbitles.com/. As I understand, the guys are just recently come the the scene, and is not known by prior works, besides their 2020 game.
Ok, thanks. Let's hope he'll discover some more advanced engines eventually.
Well done guys! Tracks are just a bomb! Cool!!!!!!
Next DiHalt is coming up! Jan 6th-8th, with beeper compo as usual.

Wow !
Lots of amazing beeper tracks !!
I really have no idea who is behind the tracks this year.
Just seen the results in the stream. 1st and 2nd are mine, Freezing Point and Geostorm. 3rd is Tufty's March Of The BioMech. Congrats, Tufty!
Should say I was expecting the utz's drum'n'halt to get the 1st, it was so fresh. Wish I would make something like this. And I was expecting to get 3rd with one on mine's, as Tufty's stuff is great and strong as usual - it sounds very powerful and not so beeper'y at a good volume.
Regardless of the results, great job as usual, guys! Beeper is the real winner again!
Nah, no first place for me this time, that was to be expected. I only had one day to spend on this, so didn't polish things up as much as I could have. So, congratulations on your well-deserved win, Shiru. Excellent work. Especially beating we with my own engine hahaha.
It was a very strong battle overall. Really like BioMech as well, that middle section with the fast arps sounds so slick. Surprising entries from AER as well, glad to hear some beeper from him again.
Well done Shiru, well deserved win and both excellent tracks, yours too utz.
I've made a little vid of my entry, it's here:
The full results are up, here are the beeper ones:
ZX Spectrum Beeper Music
1. 7.51 Freezing Point by Shiru
2. 7.11 Geostorm by Shiru
3. 7.03 March Of The BioMech by Tufty ^ 1bit Forum
4. 5.97 drum'n'halt by utz ^ irrlicht project
5. 5.76 Rekcart by AER
6. 5.61 babka_dance by AER
DiHalt 2023 is coming up! Jan 5 it is, so there is some time to get your bits together!
Thanks. Planning to submit but don't have anything yet.
Color me impressed, guys! 7 songs, and the humble beeper is still at rise! So many cool sound colors, so many neat finds. The compo is still kinda crowded with my engines, tho. Sorry, was busy, had no time to add the recent utz's developments to the tracker yet, but I believe some of those are the next best picks.
7? are they available online anywhere?
Yes, online voting is still open, results tommorow: https://events.retroscene.org/dh2023/beeper
Complete results yet to come, as the prizegiving is going right at the moment, but congrats, AtariTufty (2nd with Synthetic Heartbeat) and utz (1st with A Strange Game)! Finally, utz's entry got a praise it deserves! My personal favorite this time was AER's Cosmic Puppy, though.
Ha, I thought Tufty's unce track was going to win, since it was so well received at the party.
Cosmic Puppy is indeed an excellent track. AER really re-invented himself with that. Though I think Noise In My Head is the best in terms of composition. Stellar work on the drums and those Shiru™ delays. Both your tracks are Earth Shaker EX, right Shiru?
Anyway, I think this was the strongest compo we've had in years. Good times for beeper.
