Wow, massive list there.

Started listening to some of them.
Sounds like a few spectrum-like engines in there - Predator 2 for instance

I did a few PC Speaker tunes myself which actually got me into writing speccy 1-bit music

https://tufty1.bandcamp.com/track/bonus … pc-speaker
This was recorded from dosbox and written using monotone on an old Toshiba laptop

I've written a few more PC speaker tunes but never recorded them

Recording from real hardware now on streaming platforms and my bandcamp site:

Recorded from a real 48K Spectrum as always

Cheers Vinnny. Always a good motivator for me to compose new 1-bit tracks

Nothing new tune-wise but I've packaged the tunes from my Raw Spectronica album into a .TAP format and added some art.

It's here:

This is great

Hmmm, yeah, I thought it was maybe a bit too good to be true smile

Seem to be a few 'Spectrum' tunes made with Furnace on YT too. Will be good if they do manage to export files that can be played on real hw to authenticate the tunes.

Have you guys seen this?

Brilliant version for the PET

Don't know what engine/software was used to create it.

Be great to hear it playing on a real PET

Thanks guys.

Yeah it was the manic water recent demo that prompted my post

Just wondered if anyone knew of a utility/converter doc to create loading music (written to screen ram) ?

I’ve seen examples of it with the Star Wars imperial March and I think utz included a couple of bonus tracks done in this way on his dat fuzz cd

Cheers

Many thanks Shiru.

I've managed to compile a sampletracker .tap now which plays great. I'm very excited about writing a tune with this engine.
It doesn't exit to basic though on pressing a key. Seems to get stuck in a loop ?

Hi Shiru. Just tried to compile a .tap of the new sampletracker example but it crashes when trying to play back.

The .tap includes a file 40448 bytes in size with a start address of 32768 so I  assume this is the issue unless it uses contended memory ?

Wow, this is a really exciting development.

Thanks Shiru, can't wait to have a go with it

Hi Shiru

Just noticed there seems to be a bit of an issue with 128K machines on emulators.

On FUSE - +2a/+3 won't play the album - sticks after intro screen
Spectaculator - Toastrack/grey+2/+2a/+3 - sticks after intro screen on all these models

Not tried on real HW yet

Wow !

Absolutely brilliant. Some of the tunes sound like nothing I've heard on the speccy before !

My favourites are Adventure Time and Balls of Steel

Hi

My new beeper tune "Who am I?" is competing in Winterchip

Written with phaser 3 as usual

Thanks a lot.
That opens up some more exciting possibilities.

As you know, I love using samples in phaser 3 smile

Exciting stuff, thanks Shiru

Just had a quick go. Like the fact you can have volume control of samples

Not sure what the last two columns 'P' and 'o' are ?
Don't seem to be mentioned in the .txt file

cheers

I used a program called Corrscope that was mentioned in a vid I noticed on yt yesterday with an excellent tritone tune

Very easy to use and I was amazed I managed to get it to work so easily, after downloading the ffmpeg addins
