Topic: Does someone ever tried to do signed 1-bit music?

When talking about cd, the music is made of integer values that goes from -32768 to +32767, with 0 being total silence and as closer to 0 the number is, quieter the sound will be.

Normal 1bit music has just max volume and no volume.

Does someone ever tried to do fakebit song that has just max positive value and max negative value, so it has only full volume?

Re: Does someone ever tried to do signed 1-bit music?

As we're focusing on actual old platforms that only has one bit to flip, and not many trying to do VSTs, I think, no one tried to do min/max. Although I believe it will sound exactly the same, just having an unwanted DC offset that will result in a pop at beginning and end of a track.
