Topic: license for FrankT's Meloncholy song

Hi,

Is FrankT active on these boards? I've recently dug out an old DAW project of mine that contained a bounced chiptune that I thought was from some abandonware or a demo track, but later realized was FrankT's "meloncholy" that's I downloaded from the Beepola showcase years ago, and forgot about it.

I thought "let's mess around and find out" and remixed it a little and thought I'd abandon it an hour later, but I ended up liking it even when I'm not even half done with it. I'm thinking about extending it with my own composition beyond the ~80 second and eventually publishing on Spotify & the likes (for [s]an estimated $0.007 per year[/s] posterity more than anything) but obviously I wouldn't do that without a written permission or license or confirming that the tune itself is in public domain.

Any way to contact FrankT? His youtube channel doesn't show any contact info. The track right now is only like ~25% done, but I'd like to finish it and just add it to my collection of tunes, and credit or reward the author in any way that's respectful & appropriate, but I've never done remixes or collaborations before.

Hi, FrankT pops in here once in a while, but not very often. I sent him a message, but I'm not sure I have his recent contacts. Otherwise, he also hangs out on https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/forums/ every now and then.

Much appreciated! I'll wait a bit and if there's no reply, I'll check those forums later. Thank you!
