it sounds great. I think I like the "This is what it would sound like if one would try to reproduce the original sound using "Octode XL" style of mixing" version the best.

I'd like to have a tool (like a perl script) for creating the data. But there are also several awesome Utz's engines to test as well so there is no hurry...

cool remix, and very nice background image.
Can you hear a difference between the beeper on the vega and on an old spectrum?

I like the "Earth Shaker - Game Complete" tune, and especially how the phasing of a single note evolves.

There is a tune called "1-bit" in the samples for SunVox, it's a very cool song in my opinion. I've found the version on youtube, and the author of SunVox said it's true 1-bit sounds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfegDlcUwJU
We can see in the source that for the generators everything is set to 1-bit.
But since there are several tracks, it's maybe not "real" 1-bit.
Anyway it sounds very good and it's a wonderful composition in my opinion (it reminds me some Tim Follin's tunes)...

ah, thanks.

examples/sna/osc7 beeper are working for me too. It's very impressive, yes.

I hope to see more idiot-friendly tools for helping the conversion for people like me because it's quite obscure now smile

hello,

I can't get the first 2 links, and I don't know how to register (can't find the option on the page, only the one to login). I've downloaded the last link, I guess the examples are the same. Yet, when I open one example from examples/tap with fuse, I get only "bytes : vtplayer bytes: songname"
With sna only a blank screen. How is it supposed to work?

it seems it's a problem with wix pages. This one is blank too on firefox / linux : http://stephennichol81.wix.com/loadingscreech
Their javascript seems pretty evil.

you can find his address at http://irrlichtproject.de/houston/ in the "Questions? Suggestions? Bug Reports?" section.

it's true with noise around it's sometimes not easy to hear clearly... Show us your work when you made something with HT2!

@giako9000: no, I don't think it's possible unfortunately. Maybe you can try to find other headphones? The ones I have are a bit low, but it's still usable. It seems there are also some "headphones booster", with a battery to amplify the signal but I don't know if it's that great.

Are you French?

both URL are displaying a blank page for me too (linux and firefox 40 too). From my android phone I could get the content.
http://bitfm.randomflux.info/ is working for me (the front page, as the music is not yet working)

ok I think I understand now...
for wabbitemu I only tried the android version. And for tilem2, I'd need the devel version, not the current version (released in 2012).

I've launched wabbitemu through wine, and while the display is not nice (wrong colors), the sound is not perfect but correct enough for me. I tried to compile the devel version of tilem2, but there are too many dependencies and no binaries, so I gave up.

@giakko: You can get a "greylink" usb cable for under 15€ on ebay, search for "USB transfer cable/link calculator Texas Instrument TI 83, TI 83plus, TI89" (the only annoying thing is they are quite short in length)

yikes I didn't know it was possible to get sounds with emulator. In wabbitemu I can't see the option, and it's the same on tilem2 (http://lpg.ticalc.org/prj_tilem/pixs/sh … p_menu.png) (I'm using the TI-83 plus rom)

It's not dedicated to Beeper music, but there is an ongoing comp on BoTB about Spooky music, it might be interesting for 1-bit composers wink

yes, it's always a pleasure to feel the urge to finish a new composition in time, it really motivates me to create.
The forum is new, 1-bit music is maybe a niche market (really?? wink ) so we can't expect many more participants. It was a good thing to organise this comp after the forum creation. Maybe a new one next year will be relevant too (but not before, there will be BoTB anyway). Thanks Utz.

For xtone, in the doc "Drums may be in any channel, but you cannot set more than one per row." => I noticed if the drums are not in channel 7 or 8, but in channel 1 to 6, then in addition to the drum sound, you'll get extra notes, probably it's not wanted.
